Craggs Holiday Cottage Kelso is located at Smailholm Mains, a working farm on the estate of Mellerstain House on the Scottish Border. The cottage is surrounded by stunning countryside and is a little over 6 miles from the historic market town of Kelso. With its location, Craggs Cottage is a perfect hideaway for all your family.

Location

Kelso is well worth visiting for its wonderful cobbled market square and Georgian buildings and there are shops and restaurants to enjoy in the town.

Not far from the cottage are Floors Castle and Kelso Abbey, both designed by the architect William Adam. Adam and his son also designed the prestigious Mellerstain House, which is home to the 13th Duke of Haddington. Kelso Racecourse is another popular attraction.

There is a wealth of outdoor sports available nearby, as well as the opportunity to try your hand at salmon fishing down at the river Tweed.

Atmosphere

Craggs Holiday Cottage kelso are a charming accommodation for up to five guests, and has full central heating. A welcome pack will await you, with details of the area, attractions and a map.

We can provide a cot and high chair should you need them for your stay. Two of the bedrooms, a double room and twin room, are upstairs and a further single bedroom is available downstairs. The cottage bedrooms are homely and comfortable and there is a bathroom with bath and shower.

Interior

The Craggs Holiday Cottage Kelso has a traditional country kitchen and includes a Raeburn cooker, oven, electric hob, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, toaster and modern radio. You will feel as if you have a home from home in Craggs Cottage.

The lounge is comfortable and well presented with a satellite television, DVD, books and games in case you have a rainy day. The lounge also has a lovely open fire with a supply of logs to help you enjoy cosy evenings in. The cottage is fitted with smoke alarms to ensure your family’s safety at all times.

Bedrooms

The cottage is equiped with one super king size bedroom, a twin bedroom, and a single bedroom downstairs.

Utilities and Features

Within the utility room there is an iron, ironing board and also a vacuum cleaner.

Exterior

Outside there is an enclosed garden laid to lawn, with garden furniture and a safe area for the children to play. A barbecue is available upon request.

The cottage has plenty of parking outside.
